Aherne Property Shortlisted for Insider Property Awards 2016

The shortlists for Insider‘s prestigious North West Property Awards 2016 have been unveiled, with a host of schemes, professionals and developers from across the region in the running.

Comprising 15 categories, plus the coveted Property Personality of the Year, the ceremony is a sell-out event attracting an audience of more than 1,000 guests.

This year’s event takes place on Thursday, 12 May at Manchester Central, on the same day as Insider‘s annual Business of Property Conference.

The judging process was rigorous. Two separate pre-judging sessions were held with a series of industry experts.

No votes were cast but the comments were fed into the official judging process, chaired by Insider‘s editorial team. All vested interests were declared and noted.

The judges were Andrew Dickman (DB Symmetry), Philip Nell (Hermes Investment), Darren Jones (Oldham Council), Deborah McLaughlin (Homes and Communities Agency), Steve Park (Warrington & Co), John Atkins (Atkins Property) and Karen Hirst (Salford Council).

The only award not picked by the judges was the Property Personality of the Year. The latter was chosen after Insider spoke to property experts from across the region.

More than one company may have been involved in the same deal. In the main, the company named in the shortlist submitted the entry.

The drinks reception sponsor is DSG Quantity Surveyors and the networking booklet sponsor is Ardmac Interior Construction.

The official Twitter hashtag for the event is #insiderNWprop
